Why I Do This

In my heart I know there is no choice of another profession for me. I create. I have to. I must be in nature, so I must keep it alive. Some of the most rewarding experiences of my art profession are watching and helping others get excited about what they can do with their own creativity. I have created several murals with the local school children of San Pancho, Mexico. Before I could speak any Spanish I learned that art is above spoken language, and excitement about nature and art can be read from people's expressions without any exchange of words.

Education

University of South Florida-St. Petersburg

Bachelor of Science (specializing in marine biology)

University of Wisconsin-Green Bay

Continuing Education

I will always be striving to improve myself in order to help others. Here, I worked towards my second degree in Marine Biology in hopes to better learn how to help the Earth and its creatures. Also, the more I understand my subject matter the better I can convey it in my visual messages.

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Bachelor of Fine Arts (specializing in painting and drawing)

My love of the arts led me to complete this degree. So many powerful things can be said with no words at all. I believe in giving back, so part of the proceeds from all of my "turtle art" are invested back into Grupo Ecológico de la Costa Verde, A.C. in an effort to keep the marine turtles around to inspire many more generations.
